We are currently seeking a developer for an apportunity in Calgary with the following background.

 

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience with Visual Basic (3+ yrs)
  • Proven experience with C#.Net (2+ yrs)
  • Proven experience with SQL Server (3+ yrs)
  • Proven experience with Crystal Reports (2+ yrs)
  • Application development expertise throughout the entire lifecycle (requirements analysis, coding, testing, debugging, documentation) (4+ yrs)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong team player orientation

Desired Skills:

  • Previous work experience with Municipal, other Government Organizations or equivalent endeavours.
  • Previous work experience with VMWare (1+ yrs)

Project Scope and Project Objectives:

  • Focus on the conversion of the existing VB applications into C#.Net applications.
  • The base assignment is the conversion of the applications; however, in addition to conversion, some modifications or enhancements may be required by the business unit that are yet to be determined.

Deliverables:

  • Completed conversions of the VB applications into C#.Net and implementation into production of the converted apps.
  • Knowledge transition to the Application Support team
  • Completed corresponding documentation related to the conversions
